Our Ministries

Kids

Son Harbor is the name of our Children’s Ministry that serves birth through fifth grade.  We offer fun activities and teach God’s Word to help children develop a life-changing relationship with Jesus.  All teachers and volunteers in Son Harbor are carefully screened to provide a safe and secure place for children to grow.

Tugboats

Our nursery cares for the newest additions to our church family while their parents attend the worship service. We are committed to your child’s safety, fun and spiritual growth.  The nursery is available for children birth to three years old.

Sailors

Children ages four years old to fifth  grade take part in the worship service until they are dismissed to Son Harbor (Children’s Church).

This year in Son Harbor the children will be learning more about God through The Jesus Storybook Bible.  Each week, the lead teachers will teach the children a story from the Bible with object lessons, games, and music.  The children will be encouraged to memorize a verse each week.  In addition, the lead teachers will assist your child in learning how to communicate to God through prayer.  Children will be divided into two ages groups, four years old through first grade and second through fifth grade.

Baby Dedications

We welcome baby dedications.  It is a an opportunity for parents to publicly declare their intent to raise their child in a Godly manner and a reminder for the church to pray and be a role model for this new life. We save baptism for a later time, after the child has made a personal decision for Christ.  If you have any questions about baby dedications, please contact the church office.

Celebrate Recovery

The purpose of Celebrate Recovery (CR) is to fellowship with others and to experience God’s healingin our lives through the program’s Eight Recovery Principles and Christ-centered Twelve Steps.

This experience leads to profound life change and freedom from hurts, habits and hang-ups. By working and applying these Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually. We become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and — most importantly — a stronger personal relationship with God and with others.

Prayer Ministry

Prayer requests: We have a Prayer Chain Group that prays regularly on the behalf of others.  If you have a personal prayer request or would like to pass on requests from others, let us know.Sensitivity and care will be taken to provide confidentiality in prayer requests when needed.

Jail Ministry

The faithful volunteers involved in this ministry have taken it upon themselves to reach out in visitation and are following the Word of God, which directs us at Mt. 25:35-36, “For I was hungry and you gave Me food, I was thirsty and you gave Me drink, I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you visited Me, and I was in prison and you came to Me.”

Both volunteers and prisoners have witnessed the power of the Word being spoken and seeing the Holy Spirit change lives from within. Most of these men and women are filled with despair, are hopeless and depressed, and most of them, for the first time, are hearing God’s Word in a way they can understand. What an honor to be part of a ministry that sees God’s Word and Spirit change lives, and to know that we are being obedient to His directive.

This is another of the outreach ministries of Anchor Point Church to help equip the saints to do the ministry of the Great Commission, Mark 16:15: “And He said to them, go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”
